East Midlands Instrument Company (EMI), electrical, instrumentation and control installation contractor for the power generation, power transmission, rail and industrial markets are delighted to have achieved the Occupational Health and Safety Advisory Services (OHSAS) 18001 accreditation for health & safety in the workplace. This validates EMI’s continued commitment to high standards of health and safety practices in the workplace.
Recognised worldwide, the Occupational Health and Safety Advisory Services (OHSAS) 18001 accreditation verifies a company provides a safe and healthy workplace for all stakeholders.
“The health and safety of our customers, employees and wider stakeholders is of paramount importance to our business” said EMI’s QHSE Manager, Sharron Lowrie. “This commitment helps to demonstrate that EMI consistently manage our quality, environmental, health, safety and welfare risks through comprehensive systems in compliance with ISO 9001, 14001 and OHSAS 18001 standards of excellence.”
Keven Bingham, Managing Director for EMI said “Achieving this standard confirms that EMI has not only met the initial requirements, but is continuing to implement best practices and procedures to achieve service excellence for customers and employees. This code of conduct is embedded within every aspect of our business.”
EMI will now be targeting a wider range of contracts specifically requiring OHSAS 18001, which is important to EMI’s growth plan for the future.
